Mike Spangler, Vice President, Products and Services
We consistently hear from our customers that they are looking for a partner who can take on a defined scope of work and manage it to a successful completion. We’re listening! With the addition of Mike to the S2Tech executive team in August 2010, we now have an experienced senior project executive who can lead S2Tech in providing complete project management and implementation services.
Mike’s professional experience began in 1989 with Systemhouse Inc where he spent 4 years as a programmer, primarily in the development of Title IV-A eligibility determination solutions. In 1993 he moved to Consultec to parlay his eligibility system experience into a project lead and eventually a project management role on another IV-A project. Mike moved over to Consultec’s MMIS line of business in 1997. As Consultec became part of ACS, which in turn became part of Xerox, Mike took on roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in a program management role for the implementation of multiple concurrent MMIS implementations.
Mike is passionate about growth. He has implemented mentoring programs to develop the potential leaders within (and around) his organization and he has seen many of his team grow to levels beyond what they otherwise may have been able to achieve. He also recognizes that the capacity of an organization is a direct reflection of the capacity of its leader and thus the need to continually sharpen his own saw. Mike notes, “Change is inherent to the healthcare IT industry. If your organization doesn’t continually grow, the industry will pass you by”.
Mike hales from Minnesota where he has lived for more than 10 years with his wife, Bev, and his two children. His faith is a cornerstone of who he is and he enjoys serving wherever he can. His family loves to camp, bike, fish, hunt and do pretty much anything else that involves being outdoors.

Quarterly Fortune Fund UpdateThe Fortune Fund is registered under the charity association. The Fortune Fund was specifically designed for the low income but intelligent students to enable them to obtain a good quality education. This year we have 50 students from 2 different schools enrolled in our Fortune Fund Program.
We have asked our mentors to give their opinion on the visit to the schools. Their feelings can be felt by us through their words which follow:
“I liked the way the kids treated us when we arrived at the school. We were a little bit late at Matamapally that day and they were patiently waiting for us. It made me feel how important it was for the kids to see their mentors. I can just see how happy they became when they got the gifts which we bought and it was a great feeling for me. I’m very happy that I’m a part of this Fortune Fund program and I hope S2Tech will be including more children in this program and make it a more successful one.”
- Desmond Stelzar
“The Fortune fund is the versatile program conducted by our company. I have visited both the schools on fortune fund trips. These schools reflect our nation’s future. Participating in this program makes me feel very proud because as a human being it is very satisfied feeling while motivating and encouraging village budding talents in the schools. The innocence in their faces, zeal in their eyes and talent in them is very good to see. All the children who are eligible for Fortune Fund are energetic and proactive. Thanks to Mr. Day Veerlapati and Mr. Pratap Gonae for conducting such social development programs for students education. This program will not only boost the student’s talent but also improves the standard of living in their families and within the village. This will also make a drastic change in our nation’s future. It’s an honorable thought and implementation. It might be a small contribution on behalf of S2Tech but remember that “Small drops make a mighty Ocean” so,I wish this program will help producing great leaders and talented citizen of the country.” ”
- Uttamraj Amarlapuri
“Really it is a great thought of helping and encouraging children towards a good career through the FORTUNE FUND program. We shared lot of ideas and sweet moments with the children in Lakinepally School. We are saying our heart-ful thanks to S2Tech for developing a program that allows its employees to participate in an educational mentoring program. My special thanks to Mr. Pratap Gonae for organizing useful Talent tests and competitions for the children in schools.”
- Jagdeesh Arava
